The plot of the book is to explore the sincerity of ancient Chinese society and universal human emotions through a total of 305 poems that contain the feelings of life, court rituals, and political criticism of ordinary people at that time, centered on the Zhou Dynasty for about 500 years from the 11th century BC to the 6th century BC.

‘한용득’ 교수가 역주한 ‘장자(莊子) 내편’은 ‘도가(道家)’ 사상의 주요 경전 중 하나인 ‘장자’의 전체 33편 중 가장 핵심적이고 장자 자신의 사상이 가장 순수하게 담겨 있다고 평가받는 처음 7편(내편)의 내용을 다루는 책입니다. 이 책의 줄거리는 ‘장자(장주, 莊周)’가 제시하는 ‘절대적인 자유와 정신적 해방’이라는 궁극적인 경지를 향해 나아가는 과정을, 기상천외하고 풍자적인 우화들을 통해 보여주는 데 있습니다.

Professor Han Yong-deuk’s “Chuang-tzu Inner Book” is the most essential of the 33 major scriptures of “Zhuangzi,” one of the major scriptures of “Taoism,” and is a book that deals with the first seven (in my book) episodes that are considered to contain the purest of Zhuangzi’s own thoughts. The plot of the book is to show the process of moving toward the ultimate “absolute freedom and mental liberation” presented by “Zhuangzi” through extraordinary and satirical fables.

The plot of this book focuses on reinterpreting the difficult principles of “Eight Diagrams” and Ttrigram from the Book of Changes as a philosophy book that understands and copes with changes in life, not just a fortune-telling book.
