Co-written by Kenneth Cukier, Viktor Mayer-Schönberger and Francis de Véricourt, Framers: Human Advantage in an Age of Technology and Turmoil explores “Framing,” the most important cognitive ability of humans, and presents a key way for humans to gain an upper hand against technology and artificial intelligence (AI) and solve problems in times of upheaval. The core of the book is that the “Mental Model,” which recognizes the world, defines problems, and finds solutions, is a unique ability of humans, and must be consciously understood and developed.

인지 심리학자인 ‘모텐 H. 크리스티안센(Morten H. Christiansen)’과 ‘닉 체터(Nick Chater)’가 공저한 ‘진화하는 언어(The Language Game)’는 언어의 기원과 본질에 대한 기존의 통념(특히 노엄 촘스키의 ‘언어 본능’ 이론)에 도전하며, 언어를 “인간의 유전자나 뇌에 선천적으로 ‘하드와이어링’된 것이 아닌, 문화적이고 즉흥적인 산물”로 규정하는 혁명적인 관점을 제시한다.
